It was started as an outpatient clinic in 1985 with a view to provide quality ophthalmic service, in 4th Block, Jayanagar, by Dr. T. A Srikanth with affiliation to Lion’s Eye Hospital where surgical services were offered. Between 1990 - 2003, it had its own day care surgical facility across the road in a rented premises where all surgical services were provided.

With a view to provide a larger ambit of services for its patients it moved to its present premises in 2003. The new clinic features disability free facilities with larger patient waiting area, three well equipped consulting rooms with intercom and computerized networking facilities to facilitate cross consultation, a more spacious reception with a patient counseling area, computerized registration and electronic medical record keeping, a larger medical record section, a modern surgical suite, investigation room for  Perimetry, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography and Laser treatment, a library with internet access for referencing and an ancillary optical dispensing unit.

Presently it caters to the need of the general public in addition to being empanelled on various health insurance plans and private companies and hopes to access more health insurance schemes as well as private and government institutions.
