Billroth hospitals was launched first on 30th Nov.1990 by late Dr.V.Jeganathan, who was one of the leading Surgical Gastroenterologists and LASER and Laparoscopic Surgeons. The name ‘Billroth’ was named after a famous Austrian surgeon Dr. Theodor Billroth who was his inspiration.
After a spectacular success in the field of medicine at Shenoy nagar, there came the time for the institution to grow big to reach out to many. Hence in 2004, the 105 bedded Chennai Kaliappa hospital was taken over by Billroth hospitals and renamed it as Billroth hospitals R.A.Puram and also enhanced the amenities. This fruition is not inadvertent, but it is the shear outcome of perceptive participation and ethical practices taken by the team to achieve the objective.
