The year 1987 was a milestone in the history of health care in Kerala when the visionary, Dr.K.G. Alexander had a dream and vision to make quality healthcare affordable and accessible to all. This desire and the mission to meet the growing healthcare needs of the region culminated in the formation of Baby Memorial Hospital (BMH) which revolutionised the very concept of healthcare in Kerala. BMH is a tribute to late K.C. Varghese (lovingly called 'Baby' by all), father of Dr. K.G. Alexander, our Chairman and Chief Physician. What started as a 52 bed hospital, is today the unrivalled and unparalleled leader in healthcare; with 800 beds, Over 40 Medical and Surgical departments, excellent paramedical support system, 18 world class operation theatres, 14 fully equipped ultra modern ICUs with 146 critical care beds, 24 hours Accident and Trauma care unit. ORGAN DONATION DAY OBSERVED AT BABY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

13th August 2015 was observed as Organ Donation Day across the country. On this important occasion, Baby Memorial Hospital and its staff contributed their part in creating awareness regarding Organ Donation and pledging their organs for donation. As part of the Organ Donation Day, BMH organised a programme to honour the donors who have donated their organs at the hospital. Hon. District Collector Mr N. Prasanth IAS presided over the ceremony. Over 500 staff from Baby Memorial Hospital pledged to donate their organs and the consent forms were handed over to Hon. District Collector Mr N. Prasanth IAS. Donors who have donated organs at the hospital were honoured at the event with mementos.

Baby Memorial Hospital was excellent. It was very clean, as clean as UK. It was nice to see housekeeping staff every morning. The staff was nice and helpful. The doctors and nurses were very good, so were the other staff. They helped me in all aspects . I am very happy with the procedure. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

When I decided to go for a cosmetic surgery, being in Canada, the hospitals here were my first choice. But two things deterred me - the long waiting period and the cost. So I started looking for suitable hospitals in other parts of the world and through my friend I came to know of Baby Memorial Hospital Kerala, India and I contacted them. I started communicating with the Chief of Cosmetic surgery, Dr Krishna Kumar and found he had the best qualifications and the experience and expertise which any doctor in any best hospital would have, and he made me feel immediately at ease. I flew to India and met the doctor, his team and the other staff.
